Tyler and Erin Hufstetler
Owners

We are natives to the Dallas area. While our hometowns have been transformed with the growth in North Texas, Windmill Stables has consistently provided a safe family friendly atmosphere for horse and rider since 1982. In addition to horses and chickens, you will find our four kids working around the stables! 

Tyler grew up raising Quarter Horses and other livestock. He works to teach our kids the same lessons that he learned – hard work, selfless service, discipline – that accompany raising animals.

Tyler is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West  Point and Erin is a graduate of Texas A&M University.

Lesley Weslocky
English Trainer

Lesley is a native of Plano, and has been riding nearly her entire life. Lesley grew up riding and working at at Windmill Stables. Lesley went on to college at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. While attending Texas Tech, Lesley was an IHSA show team member of the Texas Tech Equestrian Team and was team president during her junior and senior years.

 

Following her time at Texas Tech Lesley has worked in various parts of the world in both corporate and equestrian positions. Most recently Lesley has worked in Turks and Caicos and with Landmark Eventing.

Katherine Brackman
English Trainer

Katherine is a native of Dallas and a Texas Tech Equestrian Alumni. While at Tech, Katherine’s peers elected her English Team captain during her senior year of college. She earned a degree in Wildlife Biology. 

Katherine been riding and competing since she could walk. She has competed in NTHJC and IHSA throughout the State of Texas. In addition to leading trails and events at Windmill Stables, Katherine is also a full time bird zookeeper at the Dallas Zoo! 

Jaycie Preston
English Trainer

Born in Harlingen Texas, Jaycie spent the majority of her life in Richardson where Windmill stables became her home. Jaycie  worked and rode at Windmill for several years before attending college at Tarleton State University where she earned a degree in Equine Science and Business. 

While at Tarleton Jaycie worked at the equestrian center where she gained experience in many aspects of the equine industry, learning about different breeds and disciplines. Following her time at Tarleton Jaycie returned to teaching riding lessons and sharing her passion of riding and training to students.
