SUMMER CAMPS AT WINDMILL


Camps at Windmill Stables are all about horsemanship, fun, and friends. We emphasize safety, proper care and handling of horses, and proper communication with our animal partners.

If you are unsure of your level, please ask your instructor or call our barn manager so that you sign up for the camp that suits your riding ability.

What To Bring Checklist


Campers should bring:

  • Water, several bottles, some frozen or with lots of ice
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses, Hat or Visor
  • Gatorade
  • Snacks
  • Riding boots, helmet, breeches, gloves, other riding equipment
  • Shorts and other clothes to change into
Trail Rides

Beginner/Intermediate Week Camp: $400

For riders who are just getting introduced to riding or who have been to camp before & have taken some lessons. Half day camps start at 8am with learning to groom and tack up the horse for a fun riding lesson where students learn the basics of riding on our gentle school horses. We continue our day with fun arts and crafts and an educational activity.

 

Advanced Week Camp: $400

For riders who are comfortable taking care of their horse, know how to confidently walk, trot, & canter, and have begun jumping. Students will learn new skills & improve their range of riding abilities. Students will learn more complicated riding techniques for the show ring or just to improve their overall riding ability.

 

Beg./Inter. Western 3 Day Camp: $250

For riders who are new to the Western saddle or who have been riding for a bit. Improve riding, horse knowledge, and make some new friends.
