SUMMER CAMPS AT WINDMILL


Camps at Windmill Stables are all about horsemanship, fun, and friends. We emphasize safety, proper care and handling of horses, and proper communication with our animal partners.

If you are unsure of your level, please ask your instructor or call our barn manager so that you sign up for the camp that suits your riding ability.

What To Bring Checklist

Campers should bring:

  • Water, several bottles, some frozen or with lots of ice
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses, Hat or Visor
  • Gatorade
  • Snacks
  • Riding boots, helmet, breeches, gloves, other riding equipment
  • Shorts and other clothes to change into
  • T-shirt to decorate (white or light colored)
  • Camera

Intro/Beginner Week Camp: $400

Half day camps start at 8am with learning to groom and tack up the horse for a fun riding lesson where students learn the basics of riding on our gentle school horses. We continue our day with fun arts and crafts and an educational activity.

Beg/Intermediate Week Camp: $400

For riders who are comfortable taking care of their horse, confident trotting over poles and cross rails, and have started to learn to canter. Daily riding and some educational activities will improve their horsemanship and arts and crafts will keep it fun.

Beg/Intermediate 3 day Camp: $250

Improve riding, horse knowledge, and make some new friends.  For riders who are comfortable around horses and confident in their riding ability.
